See I have this compaq laptop that I need to find a windows 98 or xp download for, and the the thing is I need to get a burnable one so I can put it in and do a new install but I cant find a free one please help.

but there are illegal sites that have it

locate your local freecycle(tm) group and post a "Wanted".
they are in yahoo groups – just go to groups, and search for freecycle & the county you live in.
