How to delete a windows installation without formatting a partition ?
I have two Windows OS installed on two drives of my PC (one on C drive and another on D drive). Both are Windows XP. I want to delete one OS without formatting the respective drive. What is the best way to do that without loosing any data except the data used by the OS ?

I suggest that you go to a professional to do it for you. He should not charge you a lot and you will avoid losing any valuable data.
Good luck !

Well you could delete the windows folder on the secondary. Then cleanup the other folders that are part of the OS.

you need to restart you computer and press the key down to enter your bios as soon as it starts restarting, and hold it down till you bios comes up. then go into you bios settings and make sure it is set to boot to cdrom first and to hdd last. then insert your windows cd and restart your computer. when it restarts it should boot to your windows cd. and it should come up and ask you what you want to do and it should let you choose which drive you want to format. good luck :0)
