How do you “boot” windows up with a corrupted system?

When I try to boot it shows “System 32 DRIVERS pci.sys corrupted or missing. I tried using my XP disk to help boot but it keeps saying press ‘r’ for repair. I press ‘r’ but the computer shuts down then starts back to saying all the same things again. It won’t enter “Windows” Is there a back door to all of this and how can I get this “system 32″ back in the computer?

Why cannot I see my own sharing file on the same PC running Windows XP SP2 by the way MS Network Computer?

I already turn off firewall or turn on firewall with excluding file and printer sharing.
Al are in the same workgroup & subnet

Can i hook my fax up to my computer and recieve fax from internet DSL line?

I dont want another telephone line i just want to send and recieve faxes from through my Dsl internet. I noctice Fax in the communcation link but didn’t know how to use it. I got windows XP home edition.

i got a new old computer with windows 98, i need to know how to connect the internet to it?

i am using this computer with xp and broadband, i tryswitching over the cables to the older hard drive but the windows 98 comp says it cant detect a modem, and it keeps asking me for a number to dial and im on broadband, please help!
