Could someone please tell me what High-priority security update for Windows XP KB913446 is? And after it downloads why is it failing to install?

Yaelkole ~ I had 5 critical updates to install and the one in question that failed was the 2nd on the list. Hmmmm I’m now wondering if I should of had 6 also like you had?
Yaelkole & Jibberjabber ~ do what Debbie T suggested. I just followed the link she provided and it downloaded, well I pressume it downloaded, it said in order for the update to fully install, I needed to reboot, and I did. Now the only thing puzzleing me now is when I look in my security download history is doesn’t show it installed ~ its still saying it failed? I dunno? Any idea why that is?

I have a friend who uses SBC Yahoo DSL. Need to install a router to improve security. What is the configuration of the DSL modem and router supposed to be? Current equipment: Siemens 4100 modem, Windows XP PC, Linksys BEFSR41 router. I followed SBC and Linksys suggestions to set up modem and router. But it will not continue to work if I lose power or turn of my PC.

I got zonealarm with virus protection. before that i had symantec client security.. my friend installed it when he installed windows xp on my PC.. I thought zonealarm virus protection is better so i should remove it.. but its not completely removed.. and gives problem when install Java. Any tool that can remove this software completely?

Know any security suites (anti-virus/firewall) that work with Windows Vista other than Microsoft’s stupid OneCare?

Windows XP Media. New computer. Old computer displays fine. Suspect a security setting.
“Play animations in Web pages” was already selected. Problem in IE and in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Can’t get any programs to show it animated.
Just tried Netscape, and it works. Still not working with IE.
