What font is used in the interface of Windows XP?
I’m referring specifically to the white type in upper left hand corner of the blue title bar when a window is open.
I don’t think it’s Trebuchet. I’m looking at my window open with “HP Image Zone” (software) in the title bar. The lowercase “g” does not match Trebuchet.
My bad, you’re right. It is Trebuchet MS. Thanks!
How do I get support for the Taiwanese font in Photoshop?
I have the language packs installed for windows and can view the fonts in all my regular applications. The font even shows up in photoshop for the text layer name and in the title bar. However, the font is not displayed on the image itself. I have found some directions, but they all refer to Photoshop 6, and I’m using Photoshop 7.
Help with Windows Vista “Beta 2 (build 5384)”?
I am sorry to complain about this, especially since I know it’s still in beta, but this was not what I expected. In the copy I have, Beta 2 (build 5384), there is no glass effect, no choice in vista color schemes, and the title bar buttons are still the same shape as in xp. Why is this, how can I get what I saw on the Microsoft web page. But it still functions great, once it boots, and the parts that actually work are great, although many of the programs I have won’t run. Now that I have that out of the way, I am really impressed with the new look and functions of Office and Internet Explorer.
In windows xp, how can you change size of title bar without effecting the taskbar?
I was mucking around with these settings under advanced appearance under display properties. Somehow my title bar is now smaller, and when I try to make it the default size the taskbar becomes really big and the icons are distorted. Please Help!!!!
Why does Windows Media Play rip CDs without figuring out the title of the album and the song names?
I own the CDs – I just want the music in mp3 format for the iPod. But Windows Media Player gives the albums nearly useless directory names: Unknown Album (6-20-2006 7-49-05 PM).
and equally cryptic song named: 01 Track 1.mp3. Is there a way to make WMP any smarter about this? Or should I just find a better ripper?
I downloaded WinAmp and it is seeing the names ok. Kenny Burell’s Blue Muse is the album. WMP couldn’t figure out Pat Matheney or any other. It looks like in Windows Media Player in Tools/Options/Privacy you have to check Update Music Files by retrieving media info from the internet. And then that works too. Winamp freebie seems slower than the Windows Media Player so I’ll probably go back to it. Thanks!
