I am looking at a new computer. Some have Windows Media Center, some have XP Home. I will not have a TV tuner. Will there be any difference?

I would like to purchase the Dimension 5150 from Dell. and i customized it a little. Because i ungraded to the ATI Radeon X300 SE HyperMemory (128MB) video card, does that mean i do not have to add on a tv tuner. Because normally they just give u an integrated graphics card and an option to add on a tv tuner.

or should i just get the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 and add on a dual tv tuner for $100. I dont play any games. just mainly for the web and word.

How to install tv tuner card to HP 850, Windows XP? Best kind?

I have an old (about 7 years old) LeadTek Winfast TV2000 TV tuner card that I am trying to get working in my new (windows XP) computer (Note: this is not the later “Winfast TV2000 Expert” or “Winfast TV2000 Delux” card). The only driver I could find to work with it was a Windows 2000 driver. The card works ok with this but does not record sound. I have tried various settings in the TV software, and have connected my video signal to the card via its RF input and Camera (which comprises SVideo and audio) input. I know that the sound element of the signal is being decoded by the card because I get sound from the card’s “Audio Out” socket. I’ve even tried looping this signal back into the sound card’s “Line In”, but still get no sound recorded.

Can anyone offer any advice?

i have windows vista build 5384 beta 2
and the tv tuner card works, i can watch tv on it
but i cant watch it through windows media centre
i want to so i can send it to my xbox 360
