iTUNES 7.0 PROBLEM: sound quailty messed up??

Today, when i opened iTunes, i upgraded it to 7.0. Well, when i went to play a song, it sounded HORRIBLE, like it was playing on the highest volume, but not high volume, u know, that sort of distorted sound, like if the speaker busted. i tried other music on windows media player and it worked fine. So i just fooled around w/ the volume on iTunes and put it all the way and it worked. however, when u put the bar like anything below full, its distorted, and the sound quality could be better even w/o the MAJOR distortion. PLEASE HELP!!! why did it go all funky when i upgraded iTunes—will this affect everything??? please help thx

There is another way to turn down the volume on my laptop??

How do I installl Windows Vista?

Hi. Um, I just downloaded Vista and I was trying to make a partion or whatever it’s called but I couldn’t figure out how to do it. When I right-clicked on the hard disk a menu came up but it didn’t have the New Simple Volume Option. So I was wondering if anyone knew what could be wrong? Also can I use a drive emulator to install vista?

Hard Drive Error: unmountable boot volume?

My 2 yr old Dell XPS shows up with the blue screen of “unmountable_boot_volume” error. I tried to use the repair function on the XP install disc which says it cannot find the hard drive. The dell diagnostics says a “return code 7″. Dell says the HD is shot. Windows help says it might be a damaged master boot record. Can the boot record be repaired? I just want to be sure before I throw out this HD and all my data. Can a repair shop get it going if I take it out of the computer and leave it with them?
Again, when I try to use the XP install CD and attempt to repair it says that it cannot find the hard drive…. please do not recommend that.

I can’t reformat my hard drive from the boot disc or CD from the DOS prompt. Can a drive be un-reformatable?

I have windows XP 5.1. Booting from the disk I get the message “can’t format this drive. Quit any disk utilities or other programs using this drive. Make sure no windows is displaying the contents” Booting from the CD and trying to reformat at the C: prompt I get the error message “Format cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Format may run if this volume is dismounted. All opened handles to this volume would then be invalid. Would you like to force a dismount on this volume, Y/N” Choosing yes does not work…
I have received messages that say something like kernel_data_error.
That’s about it, also is the correct command to format a C drive at the a: prompt “Format C:” ?
Thanks for your help,
the computer is a Dell 4300
