im facing a problem with my local area network a while back i pluged in a new network card which didnt work in the first slot so i kept on trying till it worked.. now in my “network conenctions” i have one local area connection which is number 7 which is causing me a prob whenever i try to connect to the net sayin theres an IP conflict with another local area connection ( the ones ive set before) but the problem is i cant access those local area connections to disable them cos theyre not in the “network connections” window so how can i get rid of the first “six local area connections” in order for me to connect using my usual ip

I’m wondering how to get the best out of PC gaming…I understand that Windows Vista is coming out soon…should I just wait for Vista to come out before buying a new gaming PC? I want to have a computer that will pay modern games for a while…none of the upgrading every six months. I’m just wondering if I will be handicapped if I buy a computer pre-Vista if gaming is a big part of the experience. Vista is just an OS right? Are most computers being sold now Vista compatible? I saw some cool computers at iBuy Power…are those good?

I adopted a 7 year old cat after his original owner died this April. Every once in a while he’ll jump up into the window that faces in the direction where she (the owner) used to live and let out a heart-wrenching “meow”. Do you think he still misses her? He doesn’t do it as much as he used to. Sometimes when I’m at work (I live alone) the neighbors say he does the same thing.
The original owner had him since he was a kitten. I’m wondering if I should take in his brother, too-he’s at a neighbor’s house…

I have Windows XP Pro on my pc now and it keeps screwing up.I don’t have the XP Pro disk. I had bought a XP Home Edition upgrade a while ago. Can I use the Home upgrade to install over the XP Pro without messing my pc up totally? I have a Win 98SE disk too.
I know this probably didn’t make any sense but I hope someone understands what I mean lol

ok, how about if I wipe my hard drive, the install the 98SE? Can I install the XP Home Upgrade?

I know that Windows Vista does not come out for a while, but some people already have it! How? And another question: when is it suppost to come out???
